this journal will be LONG!
so... this was it. the last of 4 Nightwish gigs.
i enjoyed every single one of it like it was my first. i just cannot find fitting words to describe this happening at all. i think every Nightwish fan will know what i mean.
my mini-tour started on tuesday, 17th of march.
right after university i got my dad's car (VW Golf Ocean edition, wonderful blue color) and drove to cologne. i arrived there at maybe 3.30 pm. waiting until 7 pm was horrible, it was freezing cold though the sun was shining, i had to stand on my damaged feet most of the time and the only reachable "toilet" was some disgusting dixie-thing that smelled 3 meters against the wind...
when they opened the gate finally, everyone rushed to the entrance in one big chaos to show their tickets to the security. i ended up in the second row somewhere between Tuomas' and Marco's place behind a quite small finnish girl, so i could see the stage very well.
Indica and Pain both made good noise in the crowd and when Nightwish finally entered the stage, i gave it my all. in the end, Emppu threw a plectrum to me though he noticed the one that i'm already wearing around my neck. thanks again, Emppu!

after i left the hall, i had to drive home immediately because of university the next day. i would have liked to stay a bit longer, some of my friends that i met there, still waited outside the hall and got to meet Tuomas... meh! i wanted, too!
but well, instead i drank two cups of coffee to keep me awake and raced home with a speed of about 150km/h. the highway was completely free most of the time, i really enjoyed that, heeheehee!
okay, i was quite smashed on wednesday, even the coffee did not help, but i already looked foward to:
friday, 20th of march!
i left university a bit earlier than usual (packed with stuff to stay away for the weekend), travelled to frankfurt and caught the train to karlsruhe. there about 3pm, i carried my stuff all the way to the concert hall, where i met with some friends. we brought my stuff to their car and then: waited again.
but this time it wasn's so bad. the sun was a little bit warmer, the security offered us mini-muffins and donuts for free and we were able to use the restrooms of the swimhall next door. it was CLEAN!

though we stood right in front of the gates and therefore were one of the first people to enter the hall, most of the spaces from the left and the middle of the stage were already blocked, so we placed ourselves first row right in front of Emppu.
Indica were fun, Pain were even better (i LOVE Peter!

) and Nightwish topped it all, as always. we pulled a lot of faces with Marco and Emppu (especially him) and Anette recognized one of my friends. she was really happy about that.
no plecs, bottles or sweat-soaked towels this time

but memories of a really great gig with lots of funny moments though we didn't see much of Tuomas at all at this side of the stage, but on the contrary we saw lots more of Jukka there. i love his faces when he's playing!
after the concert i ended up having no voice and a horribly aching body, but who cares!
we drove to my friend's home near nürnberg and slept for about... 5 hours? got up again on:
saturday, 21st of march. quick shower, breakfast in the car (got a capuccino for free, thanks to the nice lady who forgot to take the money from me... i'm sorry

) and then drove directly to erfurt, arrived there at 12pm (or am? dunno... midday!) no one was there, so we chilled ourselves into the sun, eating cookies and talking lots of bullshit

we waited 6 1/2 hours in front of the hall, but it was really funny. we met some cool people there who had prepared funny jotes for the band members, such as "Marco drunken uno 1000 points" or "Jukka! sticks please!"
i was the very first person to enter the hall this evening, a really great feeling to run in front of some 1000 people. this time we stood exactly between Tuomas and Marco, first row. best place! there you get to see all of them for Emppu, Marco and Anette walk around all the time.
that we got this great place was also thanks to the nice security. we somehow made friends with some of them right before the entrance opened. they checked our tickets a bit earlier and then said quietly "you can go in now!" thanks, guys!!
inside the hall, two of them flirted with us all he time. first question i was asked: "are you really that tall?" later when i put my contacts in, it went like "oh, i like it when you do that! do it slowly, oh yeah, that's good, very good! yeah! uuuh!" i nearly dropped one of my lenses because i had to laugh so much. i just answered "lucky you that i have two eyes!"
it went like this for the whole concert. really great show!
as a souvenir, it got Tuomas's towel this time, but i didn't catch it. we supposed it went like this: Tuomas threw the towel into the crowd and a little fight broke out so the security took it away from them. he threw it in front of the barrier where we were standing and after the show we asked him to give it to us, heehee

all in all, i screamed my lungs out again and did some very effectice training for my shoulder muscles because of all the arm-throwing with the metal-hand.
after the gig, we again drove home immediately, because my friend had to catch a plane early the next morning (she travelled to paris to see Nightwish there, lucky her...)
then, one week break for me until:
saturday, 28th of march.
3-hour-train-ride to basel. i met my friends there again, then managed to put my stuff into their car, then waited again. it was really full there, hated that, i was shortly before giving up. after all, i don't feel very well in huge masses, though i'm so tall.
the entrance was one big chaos, no one knew where to go and no one felt responsible to tell us. they finally opened one door somewhere in the middle and everyone pressed through. we ended up first row again, but at the very left of the stage, right in front of the loudspeakers. but it was a good place, we had the barrier to lean on and enough space around us to breathe.
i liked Pain very much that evening, mostly their last song, "shut your mouth". Peter forgot the lyrics and made a VERY funny face after he noticed it.
then my last great Nightwish evening of European Passion Play began.
new intro, accompanied by Troy, who plays the pipes on The Islander. such a great feeling, i was completely stunned.
Emppu came to our side several times and made funny faces again and we had a wonderful view on Tuomas

i screamed my lungs out even more than before, threw my arms in the air, hopped and clapped... it was so much fun. i will never forget this!
after the show we went outside to the back of the hall to see if they would come out. and after a few hours, they did. this made one of my wishes definitely come true. i got autographs and, much more important, photos with Anette, Tuomas and Marco.
i was so taken by this situation that i wasn't able to bring out more than "Anette... Tuomas... Marco.." or "could i take a photo...?" i can't even remember if i said "please"... bad girl!
but i told Anette that i like her attitude towards singing. she explained her point of view on the new dvd and it's pretty much the same as mine, so i wanted to tell her ^^
after all that, i felt like the happiest girl alive. i was extremely happy about my picture with Tuomas, he gave it this bright smile that i love so much because it makes me smile everytime i see it.
it was a really wonderful experience to meet the guys as normal people, not as "gods on stage". first time for me to meet them. and i will never forget it.
finally, i killed the time until 6 am somehow (the crew left quite late so we still could talk to them, had a few drinks with them (thanks for the sweets, Ewo!) and watched i think it were Mikko, Matti and Teemu skipping with a rope. they tried to persuade Peter to jump, too, but he was already too drunk. and finally i managed to give Teemu a short message for Tuomas. Teemu is such a kind person, he promised at once to give it to him. i hope he didn't forget

thanks, Teemu!)
i got to the station at 4 and got on the train at 6 just to be told that it will leave 45 minutes later. i arrived in frankfurt about 6 hours later because of SEVERAL other delays... (sänk ju for träwelling wiss Deutsche Bahn! well, THANK YOU indeed!!)
btw, that's why i'm annoyed...
when i go to bed tonight, i will be awake since about 40 hours... new personal record, congrats!!!
i will watch PotC - Dead Man's Chest and recall all the precious memories of the past two weeks.
thank you once again for all the great moments!
i will really miss you all. can't wait for the next tour to come.
hurry up, guys!!
